Perth Attractions

Perth is a wonderful sunny city in Western Australia. Perth attractions are various and tourists may choose from a wide range of activities. From adventure to culture learning, Perth is graced with activities to suit all tastes.
Perth attractions include Kings Park and the Botanical Gardens, which are a favourite of many locals as well as visiting tourists. Set high upon Mount Eliza, the park provides an awesome view of the city and the Swan River. It is a very calm area with different species of birds gracing the park.
Burswood Park in Perth is another recreational facility offering a serene feeling to travellers by providing open spaces that are mainly used for picnics. Many would enjoy outdoor barbeques and jogging in this gorgeous place that’s another of the Perth attractions.
Perth attractions also include something for animal lovers - The Perth Zoo is for those who love to experience wildlife up-close. It houses many native Australian wildlife species that are living in their natural habitat. The animals on exhibit include kangaroos, dingoes, koalas and wallabies. The Perth Zoo also houses rainforest and wetland animals.
Educational trips are also among the Perth attractions. Such trips can be taken to visit attractions such as the Barracks Arch. This building was brought up to give shelter to enrolled pensioner guards and their families, thus protecting the local people from convicts in the mid to late 1800s.
History is also on the menu of Perth Attractions. The Perth Mint was established in 1899 to make gold sovereigns for the British Empire. Today the site is still functional, producing special metal coins for collectors from all over the world. Tourists can even get a chance to make their own sovereign out of gold or silver.
